She's sold in excess of a million copies of her latest album.

Which very likely makes her a millionaire.

She has constantly whined throughout her career about not earning much money.

Her old man's a bit of a **** but we can't hold that against her I suppose.

I like her music, I have the first album.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Musicians make music initially for the love of music and to get attention, later on money becomes the prime objective. Usually.
