Two domains within company?

Can someone please tell me the good and bad of having two domains within a
company? I am thinking it would be good to have one for the tech team for
testing and what not.

There are many reason to have multiple domains within a company. Using one
for the tech team to do testing would be one reason. Another reason is to
delegate areas of administration to different people.
Of course in some environments using a single domain is the best choice. You
have to consider your networks needs and decide based on those needs.

Well I guess I'm looking for the benefits and problems that would arise with
having 2 if you could point out some more specifics for me.
