TweakUI Caused Icon Problem

I downloaded Tweak UI for XP and changed the "Shortcut Overlay" from
the Arrow to the Light Arrow, under the Explorer section of TweakUI--
and all of a sudden all of my icons have changed either in quality, in
a grainy sort of way, or have changed to a different icon completely.
The main ones that appear to have changed completely are, for example,
the windows Calculator, and all of the folder icons in Windows
Explorer.
Does anyone know what I am talking about here? The icon repair feature
of TweakUI did nothing to fix this, and neither did changing the
shortcut overlay back to the original arrow. Thanks very much,
Joe

an amendment to that-- the icons basically all changed to "old style"
for my computer, recycle bin, etc, and the generic folder icon. but
non-windows icons just all became very poor quality.

i can go to the "change icon" option for a particular shortcut, and see
what the icon used to / is supposed to look like in the list of
possible icon choices-- but selecting that doesn't change the icon to
what it should be.

any thoughts? thanks--

I had tried that fix after seeing your replies to other messages, but
it didn't change anything.
any other ideas?
