Tweaked too much

After installing TweakOMatic, Registry Mechanic, Advanced System
Optimizer, Registry Help Pro, Powertoys for Windows XP, TweakXP and a
MS HotFix for MS05-009 exploit I wind storm knocked out my power. In
the morning I have 604x480 and only 16 colours. Windows Update says
its Disabled. I checked my tweak settings and Windows Update is NOT
disabled and Help and Support is NOT disabled.

Ok, what about System Restore?
All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>System Restore.

Try that, if its turned on already, and try go back to the checkpoint before
you installed all that '' Tweak '' Stuff...
Dont over tweak your computer unless you know what your doing... And
actually, what it is

How can I correct this problem? Why does my windows XP operating system ask
for a password at the dos prompt when turned off or rebooted?

I have disabled System Restore! I did however make registry backups bu
I cannot seem to find how to restore them. Some kind of policy i
quietly preventing the use of the video drivers.
