I was playing with TvTool a little bit ago and gave up on it when I
realized I didnt want to pay for something my nvidia driver does for free.

TvTool puts an option to run when you right click a supported file type
(.avi, mpeg, etc) and also starts the tvtool service at boot-up. After
the uninstall these things still exist. I did a quick reg clean hoping
this will take care of it but no dice.

How can I safely remove the right-click item? Also, I have no idea where
this tvtool service is, it neither appears in services or in msconfig
(imported from XP, I am running win2k), but it will register an error on
the event log at boot-up. I'm assuming I should just do a tvtool search
in regedit and delete everything I find, but I'm also assuming this can
hose my system.

I have also tried installing it again and running the uninstaller again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Web search brings up nothing.

On re-reading I remembered that this file types and actions are under
"Folder Options." Luckily tvtool only put itself as an action for two
types: avi and mpeg.

Still no luck on removing the tvtool mystery service. I think this
might be a logging error.

For future reference:

Found it. tvtool is a system driver that can only be seen when you goto
hardware manager and change the view to view hidden. Then you can
right-click and uninstall it.
