TV Wonder and x800 Together- Can't get the TV to work!

J

JW

Have just installed my TV woder pro and x800 platinum Video card with
the latest version of Catalyst and MMC.
I can't get the TV to function now - it doesn't even show up in the
selection in the options for video in on the TV viewer

What the Heck!!!

Anyone else with this problem?

P.S. - Doom III is perfect at the highest settings with the x800 on a
P4 3.2 HT CPU

Are you connected using s-video or composite? Have you tried force
detection(with ati console installed: display
properties->advanced->displays->troubleshoot->mark the spot that says
"please detect my card or I wil *** and than ******* followed by *****, not
the mention the *****")?
What the Heck!!!
Welcome to the world I live in at the moment :S

Had it. One day to the next my card failed to give a signal. The 2nd times
to. First my old geforce4 mx failed. I thought: what the heck.. it is an old
card, let's replace it with a new one. ATI radeon 9800 pro. Two weeks ago
same like before, one day to the next same problem. I have the feeling it is
cause by a feedback from my television (a new one, not lagacy tv with
cathode raytubes) over the s-video cable. probably cause by some peeks going
over the coaxial external kabel to the television.
Short to say: my card was broken, and I was soon forced to downgrade back to
my geforce 4mx because my radeon was send back to the vendor. 3 weeks later
(now) I am back in action, but I am trying to get the damn thing to work
correctly over a composite link to prevent a 225 euro card from going
haywire again. (read my threads, not much luck)

Same with me. Analoge and digital output fine, s-video gone somewhere to
hide.

Hope it helps,

Gerrit
