PowerColor X800 Radeon TV Out Problem

A

I have a PowerColor Radeon X800 256MB GDDR3 PCI-E and I cant get my tv to
work full stop. I previously had a nvidia geforce card and was able to use
its tv out functions but with the ATI Radeon card, I am completely alien to
it. The Catalyst Control Center is very confusing.

Under Display Options I ticked the "Force TV detection" box, then I went to
the Displays Manager Tab and saw that a tv is detected in the "Attached
displays currently displayed" but under Main, only the Computer montior is
shown. There is another grey box beside the monitor icon and I've tried
dragging the tv icon into it but it wont let me. I can drag the tv icon into
the monitor box but it says swap devices but that does nothing. There is a
large grey box to the right with 2 boxes with the numbers 1 & 2. The 1 box
is blue and the 2 is a lighter shade of blue. I figure the "2" lighter blue
box should be in blue to enable the pc to be viewed on my tv like clone mode
with the nView software. There is a section where it says DDC Display
[Single] and I think that should be double display.

I thought it might be a cable issue as the tv out on the card is different
than my geforce card. The ATI card has a 9 pin config whereas the geforce
had a standard s-video config. They provided a 9pin to 6pin convertor so
while doing this I had the tv turned on to the AVI channel. It flickers so
I knew it was trying to do something.

Can somebody please help me get the tv display to work?

Thanks

ati sells a HDTV convertor that may be why u see 9 pins instead of normal 6
pin for s-video
