Hey all, I just loaded the latest drivers for my AIW 8500 and now my TV
tuner won't work. It starts to work then shuts down. I'm running Win XP I
have the latest DX9b and the Win Media encoder 9 installed and I loaded the
latest catalist drivers and the latest MultiMedia Center drivers and the
remote wonder drivers.
It's driving me crazy!
TIA for any help

Don't worry
Everything is normal.
It was a bad idea to install the directx 9.0b ?
Every All In Wonder card (PAL system) fails with directx 9.0b
Read further in ths group...
And wait for an upgrade from ATI or MS, as everybody in this situation.

Yes, if you're using a PAL AIW, MT, DX 9.0b is the problem. This is a known
issue; M$ are supposed to be producing a fix ASAP. In the meantime, if you
can restore your system to a point before you installed DX 9.0b, that should
sort it. There is a security fix associated with DX 9.0b; you should
install that, but leave the rest of the update alone.

Thanks for all the help. I went back to MMC 8.1 and it works now. I'll
wait til the fix comes out before I try MMC 8.5 again.
