Hi, I have for a long time had a perfectly functioning TV-out on my
Radeon 9800 PRO but suddenly either there is no image on the screen at
all, it flickers extremely or is totally did-colored.
I dont really know what might cause this?

I HAVE changed my C: drive to NTFS lately and have also installed Nero
Ultra Edition but I doubt any of this could cause it?

Please help! Any suggestions welcome!

It, is..I live in Denmark and have it correctly set to PAL...

This should be a software problem right? I mean does it make much sense
that the TV-out on the adapter should suddenly malfunction?

No - a hardware failure is unlikely unless you bios flashed the card and
used an incorrect bios - my 2nd hand 9700 came to me with a faulty TV out -
too dark and saturated colours - I eventually found a correct bios that
fixed it and now works perfectly. Nero is very unlikely to stuff up the
display settings. Have you tried simply unintsalling and reinstalling the
drivers? It may be a good idea to remove the drivers using drivercleaner to
make sure all registry entries are cleaned out before reinstalling the
drivers. Also dont forget theatre mode in the overlay tab...

I have just tried reinstalling drivers. I removed everything and ran
drivercleaner. It didnt help. I would say this definetly is some sort of
hardware problem...possible with the cables. THe problem is I am using
one of these ATI VIVO boxes...this box has a cable to the graphic card
and then various plugs, like S-video out. From that box I have a s-video
cable connected to my TV. I can try to replace the s-video cable, but if
that doesnt work, I guess I will have to try to get a new of these VIVO
things. I have no idea where though.
Any other suggestions as to what might be wrong?

I have no experience with a VIVO box Im afraid. I would try directly
connecting the card to the TV using a SVHS lead to make sure the TV-OUT is
working correctly - that would isolate the box.

Damn its strange. I have tried changing the s-video cable. Didnt work.
No one have any experience with sudden failure of TV-out?
Sometimes theres no picture at all but I can get a black and white
picture by clicking the left mousebutton a couple of times. This doesnt
work all the time though.
I suspect maybe the card is failing but its strange since its otherwise
working fine...except maybe one thing. I have some strange magnetic-like
lines on my monitor, could the card cause them or is it more likely the
monitor? Its not a very big problem, just something you notice when
looking at a large aera of the same color.
