TV black & white!

I connected the TV to the Hp laptop through an s-video to
scart connection.
The TV screen turns out to be black and white!
Why that?
Can anyone help me?

Try to set the channel you are using on the TV to "s-video".

te tv channel is already set on the external input by
scart connection, otherwise i would'n see anything. I
checked the setting menu on the tv and nothing can be
changed.
 
In the advanced settings of display properties. Ensure
that the correct format for the tv is selected. (PAL, NTSC)
