HOW TO CONNECT MY LAPTOP TO MY TV?

Hey guys can someone help me?

I have been trying to connect my laptop(HP compaq nx 7010) to my tv for a
week now without any results. I bought a cable (s-video on one end and scart
on other) connected it to my tv and laptop checked the settings of my
graphics card (ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9200) but still I get an error from
POWERPLAY about my sreens resolution which doesnt match that of the tv's.
What can I do?

Some older Tv's has a max resolution of 800x600 16 bit and some 32 bit. You
could try changing your tv out and or desktop resolution to 800x600 or
640x480 and see if that works.
