turning off other users

When turning off the computer when other users are logged
on, a message appears that they could lose data even if
they have exited all programs. Since XP can't detect
this condition, . . . how do we shut down with confidence?

Logout one user, and let another log back on to tidy up, and so on. And
try to train users to make sure all work is saved before handing on to a
different user anyway.
