Turning off auto archive for a specific message

Is it possible to turn off auto archive for an individual message in
Outlook 2007?

Sure. Permanently delete it before the archival date hits (or put it in its
own folder and tell that folder not to auto-archive).
 
Yes; open the item-> Office Orb (left top)-> Properties-> option; Do
not AutoArchive this item.
You can do with a checkbox in a custom view as well.

Holy crap, really? Gah, thanks for making me look like an idiot =)

Tho I stand by the fact that shift-deleting a message will keep it from being
auto-archived =D

Well, in the absolute sense you are correct of course; once deleted it won't
AutoArchive then either, that's for sure :-D
