Auto Archive

I am using Outlook xp sp3. I have found that when I setup archiving under
tools, options, other, auto archive, and apply it to my sent items folders,
to permanently delete the messages older than one week, it never seems to
totally remove all expired messages. However when I kick off a manual
archive by going through File, archive, and selecting the appropriate
criteria it does in deed remove all expired messages.. Any thoughts?

I may have figured it out, I think it is the way the auto archive process
looks at dates. I beleive it reads the modified date as opposed to sent date.

Correct, but both the manual and automatic method should give the same
results if you use the same conditions.
