Turn off pnp?

Is there a way to turn off plug and play? I have a printer (HP Deskjet
5650c) that I'd like to use, but the driver is not provided. The
Deskjet 550c driver works fine, but when I connect the printer, it
wants to install Deskjet 5650 drivers. Is the hey
HKCU\printer\settings\wizard\pnp autodetect? .
