Hi

Here at home the "turn off computer" dialog, shows the options graphically
using some fancy icons.
At work the "turn off computer" dialog, shows the options in a combobox?

Both are running Win XP Pro SP2. At work I'm on a domain.

How can I make my home computer show the same dialog as my work computer?

You can try the following and see if it gives you the results
you're seeking:
Go to Control Panel and double click on User Accounts.
Click on "Change the way users log on or off".
Remove the check mark from the box next to "Use the Welcome
Screen".
Hit the "Apply Options" button.
Now go to Start and hit "Turn off computer".
You should see this box:

Shut down Windows

FYI, with the Welcome Screen disabled, you can now hit Crtl +
Alt + Del and see the Windows Security dialog box which has
other options.

The fancy icons appears only if the Welcome Screen is enabled. In domain
environment, Welcome Screen is disabled automatically.
