TS Change of Port

D

Darrien

We are running Windows 2000 with TS in app mode. We need
to allow multiple concurrent connect to TS through 1
external IP address. We changed the port number for the
connection. This is one of the modification that we've
made to the registry to allow the change from 3389 to
3390. We changed the value of the "port number" subkey to
indicate it in hex. This was all done on the server
side.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Termin
al Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp

If there is an easier way to do this or any articles that
explain how to set up this procedure, please direct us to
them. Thank you.

You need to change the port on the client as well.
And the registry entry that you mention is the recommended way to
change the listening port on the server.
