TS CAL question

jay

Was going thru some maintenance on our TS.
And noticed on our TS (Win2000), we have two sets of TS CALs installed (60
total).
the initial set of 10 was installed a few months after server was in place.
This was installed by 3rd party vendor that no longer exists.
Of those 10, 7 licenses are for computers that don't exist anymore.
This was before my current company had an IT department and we can't find
any documentation/PO info.
How can I get those licenses back?
or am I out of luck?

thanks

Those licenses were installed before the TS and the LS were
running SP3.
SP3 introduced a major improvement of TS CALs: an expiration date.
Meaning that unused licenses, on discarded clients, are
automatically returned to the licensing pool on the LS after 52-89
days.

Since these licenses don't have an expiration date, you will have
to call the Clearinghouse, which will reissue them for you.
