Your post is pretty confusing, to say the least!

So what are you trying to tell us? Did you actually upgrade Windows
2000 to Windows XP Professional? If yes then why the bother and fuss
about XP Home Edition? You cannot upgrade Windows 2000 to Windows XP
Home Edition, that is by design. Windows 2000 Professional contains
almost all of the features that make up the difference between XP Home
and XP Pro, if you could upgrade Windows 2000 with the XP Home Edition
the results would be almost identical to XP Pro. There is almost no
difference between Windows 2000 Professional and XP Pro, XP Home on the
other hand is devoid of much of the features available in Windows 2000,
such an "upgrade", if possible, would more of a "downgrade" than an upgrade.

The upgrade CD is bootable.
