Trying to transfer "Shared contacts" in Address Book

Duane Lee

In my address book within Outlook Express I have "shared contacts" and "main
identity's contacts"- (windows XP). I am trying to get my contacts over to
my new computer with the Vista OS. I have been able to get my "main
identity's contacts" over but am unable to find the file or capture the
contacts within my "shared contacts". Can someone please give me some
advice?
Thanks

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!

Move your shared contacts the the main identity contacts list and you'll be
able to transfer them. If you don't want to mix the two, then temporarily
create another folder in the contacts, move the main identity contacts to
that temporary folder (deleting them from their original location), copy the
shared contacts to the main identity folder, transfer them, delete the
contents of main identity, and move the contents of the temporary folder
back.
