Trying to set up Windows 98 SE With XP Home already installed

So here is the question:

What steps do you take to tell XP Home to come up in the
DOS mode to load Windows 98 SE?

I have a couple of old programs that won't run under XP.
And Windows 98 is the next best I will try. I know you can
install more than one OS.

P.S. I don't really want to wipe out what I have on my
main hard drive.
 
You will need to get Partition Magic (current version) and
create more partitions or buy another hard drive. Then read
and follow these instructions...

Use a 3rd partition utility to create an empty partition on the
hard drive, and follow
Doug Knox's instructions for adding Win98 to an existing WinXP
installation:
