Hi All,

I am trying to prevent my son from deleting data off of
the hard drive. I am trying to set up his account so
that he can play games but not be able to delete
anything. I am running Win XP Pro. Thank you for any
advice you may have.

1. Use NTFS on all disk drives
2. Limit his account as a "User"
3. Run cmd.exe
4. At DOS prompt, run "cacls D:\ /t /g administrators:F system:F Papa:F
Tony:R",
assuming your account is called Papa, and your little son's account is
called Tony
5 Repeat step 4 on all disk drives, like E:\ F:\ G:\ etc
6 On his game disk run "cacls E:\Games /t /g administrators:F system:F
Papa:F Tony:F"
assuming your account is called Papa, and your little son's account is
called Tony,
and his Game folder is called E:\Games(Maybe the games are not installed
to one position.
that would be complicated if so)
