TRYING TO OPEN A PICTURE WITH IMAGE COMPOSER

Whenever I get an email and want to open a picture, I have sat my computer to
open with Microsoft image composer. Image composer works very well for me
when opening pictures that are saved in my computer, but sometimes when I
want to open a picture that was sent to me via google email, I get a message
that says "the file can not be read, it is in use by another application" and
therefore image composer does not open the file, why is this happening? and
how can i fix it? Thank you so very much in advance to those that can help me.

Have you tried first saving the image, then opening the saved image?
