Trying to locate what service/program that is running in the background that
locks up resources in XP Home for about 3-5 seconds. I have 6, SVCHOST.exe's
operating out of the 33 processes in Task Manager. They are not holding the
problem child though. I have no network, computer setup as Admin login. I
have stoped Indexing, Outlook is not setup for Journeling. Office Pro 2K is
not setup for networking, Win Update is off. Update Manager is emtpy,
Firewall is off.
I think this happened with one of the Win update downloads.(?) It's been
going on for 6 months.
This problem stops taxing resources after some while until I reboot again.
CPU is AMD XP 1500Mhz w/512MB mem & 160GB RAID HD w large page file.

Use Process Explorer from SysInternals.
