I am trying to install the fax application off of my CD,
but every time the message cannot find the file
fxscfgwz.dll comes up. When I search for it it is on the
cd in a hidden file. Checking its properties it is shown
as a read only file and not hidden but search can not
find it unless I tell it to search hidden files. How can
I convince the installer that the file is really
there?????

Reboot, empty the Temp folder, then try the install again. The temp folder is C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp. If that doesn't work, try copying the CD to your hard drive and installing from there.
