Hi, it seems you are having trouble installing Shockwave. I suggest you
download a full standalone installer. Here is a link :
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp. Log on as an
administrator, disable your antivirus temporarily and run the downloaded
installer package. Then restart your computer and check in "add/remove
programs" for "Adobe Shockwave". In order to verify the installation, go to
the verification webpage : http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ . You
should see the animation confirming Shockwave installation. This is the
procedure I followed a few weeks ago.

Sorry, you wanted to install Adobe Flash Player. The same link contains the
installers for Flash Player and the verification link is the same. I
installed Shockwave, not Flash Player on my machine.

Hello, I too am having an issue with the download of the flash player. when
prompted to do so when messenger starts. I have done so 4 times now and when
told If I see the "wink" I can go back to using messenger. OK fine But I
still get the prompt each time the messenger opens after logging online.
Messenger issue or adobe? everything works ok but the prompt is a little
annoying!

In case you read my previous post in this thread, I suggested that you
download a standalone full installer for the product that you want (Flash
player, Shockwave) from the Adobe website directly, using this link which I
also provided in my previous posts :
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp . You
can install Flash Player by running the standalone installer on your system.
I recommend turning off your antivirus temporarily while installing. This is
a reliable way of installing Adobe products. To check if the installation
worked properly, go into Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs and you should
see the installed product listed.
