Hello all,
I am trying to connect a VPN tunnel between a Cyberguard SG300 and a
Netgear DG834 router. I seem to be getting nowhere.
The scenario is, the Cyberguard is used at a main office of an
organisation (headquarters), and they have a remote office that has a
Netgear DG384. The application that the remote user access on the
server at Headquarters uses a print spooler to manage print jobs. The
remote user has a printer that needs to be added to the print spooler
and the most effective way that I can see to get this to work is to
establish a VPN tunnel between the remote office and headquarters, and
use a network print server at the remote office so that it can be seen
easily on the network. I can connect to the network at headquarters
using a vpn connection from an XP PC - no problem.
However, I cannot get the Cyberguard and the netgear to establish a
connection, so that the two networks are interconnected. I have spent
many hours on this and I am at a loss as to why it is not working.
Maybe, it is something really simple and I just can't see it - you
know what it gets like after trying to do something for hours!
I was hoping that someone out there has done this before and has some
simple instructions to make it work.
Thanks for any assistance.
regards
John
