trying to back up files and folders

I am trying to back up my files and folders Am using XP Professional. Get as
far as " choose a place to save your backup" The only choice i have is 3/1/2
floppy. If i click on the Browse button I still get only 3/1/2 floppy. I read
on all how too's there should be a few other options. There should be on
allowing you to use A Drive D.Not on my computer. What am I doing wrong. Have
been trying for a couple of months to figure this out. Any help would be so
appreciated.

Don't use microsoft backup
just burn whatever data you need to save directly to a cd or better
still...DVD
