Try again: PopUp info box and cursor

I don't know what to call those little info windows that pop up when a
cursor is dragged across a file name. However, in multimedia files
called M3u files, associated with music, usually the pop up window
contains all the files associated with the M3u text information.This
works OK on one PC I have but not onanother. I must have a switch to
set that I have overlooked. Any pointer on this? The popup window on
mp3 files show the ID3 content, etc. but the m3u's don't show the
content.

An unrelated issue has to do with file associations. Again, on one
computer but not the other I can open graphic files directly from
within a zip window...the contents of a zip file...but on another it
refuses this association no matter how often I try to set it. Again,
there must be a switch I am not setting. Again, any help would be
appreciated.

Getting there...the file and folder view content association needs to
be set in Tools/folder options/view/last item. Additionally, the
associationto open files from inside winzip for certain multimedia
files needs to be set via direct application selection within
winzip...the normal association through folder options doesn't do it
for the multimedia files.

OK, I still cannot see the content of an M3U file with the association
through the tools folder setting. And, the desktop icons do not now
have the pop up windows with the full icon information showing. That
worked and now does not.

I am still at a loss as to why the pop up info windows only
"partially"...but consistently...work the way they do. Once PC is OK
and the other is incomplete....assuming, of course, that the one that
is working as it should is the one displaying all the information!!!

Any other hints would be appreciated.
