Trusts

I am trying to setup a trust between 1 forest and a child domain in a
different forest in 2 physically different locations. There are firewalls in
between them. We are able to ping each other, have added a dns zone for each
and when you try to create the trust, you get a message that the domain
cannot be contacted and the trust can't be created. Can someone please help.

Kevin,
You'll need more than just icmp between the two forests.
Here's a list of ports you'll need to poke holes for.
