How to reduce Forest trust Traffic ?

Hi ,

we have a Forest A in singapore and Forest B in shanghai ... both connected
using VPN connection 256k .

We need to setup the Forest trust relationship (External trust) between each
other, my question is there anyway to reduce the forest trust traffic between
shanghai and singapore? or schedule it to sync base on specified schedule .

Create sites , look like only applicable to child domain only .

You can schedule the time when server objects replicate.

Open up Active Directory Sites and Services, select sites, select the site
in question, select the server that you want to change the schedule, select
NTDS settings and in the right pane select the object that you want to
change the replication schedule and right click on it and select properties.
On the general tab select the "Change Schedule" button.

Hi, thanks for reply . I was unable to find the froest b server to add into
the sites . I Only can see those server are within the same forest only .

i thought the directory and sites only meant for planning internal domain
replication schedule only ... but not for Trusting relationship .

It isn't for trusts that is what Active Directory Domains and Trusts is for.
I don;t know if I missed something in your question but I don't see anything
in there for that. If you want to set up a trust make sure that both
domains have access to the others dns server.
