I have a Win2k domain and an NT4 domain. Setup thru a
2way trust- however it only seems to be working one way.?

How do I check/get it to work both ways so that those in
NT domain could see resources in 2000 domain and vise
versa all the time. Please advise-thanks

If you click on verify trust, does it reports any errors ? sometimes
problems with trust are connected to nameresolution. Do you see different
domains in NT domain logon dialog ? Try to recreate trust.

It's in active directory domain and trusts. don't have on in NT.

you are having resolution issues if you aren't getting erros with the
verify.

check wins and DNS. Plus, reboot your W2K and NT PDC's and DC...

it verified without error but it says that its not
tranitive-what does this mean and should it be to have
users logged on to one domain see servers in other domain-
this is what i need it to do?? please help-thx

Open AD Sites and trusts --> properties and on every trust you can click
verify.

Already rebooted. I should get errors on verify?- I get
Trust has been verified it is in place and active?

I should not have on in NT? What do you mean?

I need to have NT and w2k resources available to all?

Thanks!

there is no verify trust on NT domain.

Make sure all those who have permission on each side have the permission set
on both ends....

I found an article on this some time back... I needed to setup trusts
between 2003/2000/and NT domains... Basically the rule to making this work
is establish the trust from the more superior operating system... or more
recent... hence 2000 => NT... establish the trust from the 2000 side
first... same with 2003 => 2000/NT establish the trust from 2003 first...
this helped and I never had issues after...
