troubleshouuting user and computer portion of a GPO

Hi,

Does the User portion a GPO applied to a computer affect the users logging to this computer? That is, we have a Workstations OU, and a Accounts OU, with differents GPO for each OUs. when usersA (part of the Account OU) logs in to a computer (part of the Workstations OU), does the User portion of the GPO linked to the Workstations OU affect userA?

We try to have ScreenSaver disabled on a couple of stations, regardless of the user loging in. No luck so far...

Thanks in advance,

Chris

The user portion of a policy assigned to an OU with a Computer object
applies only the computer portion of the policy. This behavior can be
changed by loopback processing.

Although it refers to Terminal Server this article is good for any
Workstation OU where you want the user portion of the policy to apply.
