troubleshooting numbering.....

I'm working with a document, created in office 2003, now editing in 2007.
Same problem in both versions.

I have trouble with my heading 3s responding to my heading 2s. For
instance.....section 4.3, 4.3.1, 4.3.2, 4.4, 4.3.3. I've verified the
config, and the third digit is to reset after a new level 2 heading.....but
it doesn't. Any ideas?

Friend, try what tips from Shauna Kelly.
Its helpfull..i tried this tips after read and success..

Do you know of any resources with more detail, and which might be applicable
to Office 2007? All of the info in that document is knowledge I've been
using for awhile....this is more subtle.

I may have to give up and re-type the entire document, at this point.

Any info is appreciated.
