I have windows service pack 2 and other update. now when I try to go to
microsoft up date it says My windows is not genuine. When it passed genuine
advantage before

Have you changed the configuration of your computer since the last
updates? Motherboard, CPU etc. If you have a OEM
Version of WinXP then you cannot use it on a different computer. It's tied
to the computer it came with.

No I haven't made any changes I wouldn't even know how. I don't touch things
that I have no idea what it's used for. And I can't do a full systems restore
cuz when my sister gave me the comp. she lost the cd.

Its allways possible that the version of winxp you have isnt genuine. MS is
discovering compromised reg data all the time & updating the WGA tool
accordingly.
There is a link on MS site for problems with the WGA tool, its allso been
posted in the ng's. Perhaps a google search?

I'm sorry but I don't know what a WGA tool is. And also is it possiable for
your windows to be genuine for years than automaticly it's not?
Is there a way to reinstal windows xp if i don't have the cd?
