I have recently downloaded and installed Windows Service Pack-2. From that
point on the voice feature in Instant Messenger has gone nuts. I am able to
connect the sound in IM, but the incoming voices are broken up with delays
in the middle of spoken sentences. The person on the other end, with a DSL
service, receives the sound perfectly. It is my computer with a dial-up ISP
that presents the problem.
I am aware that the slow dial-up connection I am using could produce the
gaps in the incoming sound, but there was no problem until the Service
Pack-2 arrived.
