Trouble with sending large attachments

I am having trouble sending an email with an attachment size over about
300KB. It stays in the out box for ages... says sending in process.
eventuallly it goes to error... can be half hour or so later. Then I find
out from the recipiant that they've recived it some 10 times or so.
I have no problems with this for smaller sized attachments or plain
emails.... Can someone help. At the moment I just have to keep closing
outlook then deleting it from out box when re opened so I don't send it
numerous times.

The problem is also isolated to outlook because if i try to send the same
email from web based, it sends no problem.
Any ideas? This is becoming a real pain!

Are you using anti-virus software? If so try temporarily disabling it
and see if it makes any difference.

I am dealing with the same problem. Despite disabling the outgoing email
scan and the firewall, the problem has persisted, exactly as Jellywiz
describes (sending from web-based email, no problem). Any other ideas?
