multiple emails sent with large attachment

Whenever my Outlook 2003 sends emails with large attachements, typically more
than 2mb, recipients get 8 or more of the same email. How can this be
corrected?
Also, if the attachment is more than 2mb, it sits in the "outbox" for a
long, long time, and sometimes it won't send it? What is up with that?

If you have intergrated AV, uninstall the AV reboot, reinstall the AV
*without* the outlook intergration and re test

I currently use AVG (free) and it does scan each Outllook email.

Does this mean my AVG is intergrated?

My Outlook was installed much before I installed AVG.

Disable the email scanning by uninstalling SVG and the re-installing without the
email integration (scanning) option.
Then reboot and test

That's "integrated", not "intergrated" and, yes that's what it means if it
scans each mail message.
