I use the firewall that comes with XP. I am having trouble with Mail
Washer Pro 4.1. It loses e-mail often, and the program does not
always delete all of the e-mails that it shoud.

Lost good e-mail- The e-mail shows up in the Mail Washer window, and
the "friends list" box is checked. None of the other boxes are
checked. I process the mail, Outlook express opens, and some of the
mail disappears.

Undeleted spam- The e-mail shows up in the Mail Washer window, and the
spam is marked as such and marked for deletion and blacklisting where
appropriate. I press process mail, and it usually goes through the
whole list and deletes all of the bad. But some times it deletes a
few and then stops. The Mail Washer window is full of emails, but
when outlook express is opened, none of the mail from Mial Washer Pro
gets downloaded, and it is no longer on the server (I checked the web
mail). This is a real problem because when this happens both the good
and the bad email is lost.

Could this problem be caused by the firewall settings?

Don't e-mail me, I don't use this address anymore.

Check your Outlook Express mail rules- perhaps you've set up some
filtering rules in the past which are causing this: Tools|Message
rules|Mail.
