Trouble with bcc

I am running Outlook Express 6
Version 6.00.2100.2980

I cannot get it to bcc.

I'm not referring to the issue of viewing headers
which is addressed on the Support pages of Microsoft.

THe bcc section appears ... accepts recipient names ...
but the message does not get through.

I have tested this with multiple addresses at my office
domain. Nothing doing. Am I missing something?
