I tried downloading a 1.6mb *.exe file. And the Outlook 2002 Mailprogram wouldn't let me download.
A review of the help screens seems to indicate that Outlook 2002 classifies downloads into two categories: Type 1 and Type 2. Type 2 can be downloaded and Type 1 can not.
Not sure if this was Microsoft's way of limiting virus infected files and piracy or something else. In any event, it is a really crummy feature that greatly limits the value of Outlook 2002
Does anyone know of a way to open up Type 1 downloads? Can I still download these files by changing the file extension before downloading? What a hassle!
