Trouble with a machine account on Win2K Server

I have a Windows 2000 Pro box that can ping the server by
IP address, or NetBios name. I can remove it from the
domain, put it in a workgroup, then back into the domain
again and it says it successfully joins it. After
reboot, I log into the domain with the Administrator
account and password and it logs in (with cached
credentials). But when I try and map a drive to the DC
it says no logon servers are currently available for the
request. I have other Win2K machines, XP, and even 98SE
machines on the network it is just this one machine here
is what I found in the event log though:

The session setup from the computer COMPUTER7 failed to
authenticate. The name of the account referenced in the
security database is COMPUTER7$. The following error
occurred:
Access is denied.

Gives the right IP address that was assigned by the
server, and then the address of the Default gateway,
DHCP, WINS, and DNS servers. Really strange, have never
seen this one before. The machine looks like it
registers, it is even in Active Directory for Users and
Computers. Any thoughts?

So that means that everything on your client is pointing to your serverIP
except for it's own IP, right?
If you compare it to a working W2K, are they the same?
