Trouble Sharing Outlook Calendar/Notes

I am currently running on Outlook 2003 at work. I believe we are set up on an
exchange server. I have been trying to share notes and calendars; however,
when a select a name from my address book I get the following message:
"Unable to display folder. The notes/calendar folder could not be found."

I would appreciate any information or help on how to resolve this issue.

You can share your own Calendar and Notes folder but not from somebody else;
they'll have to provide you with permissions to access that.

I've already been given permission to do so, but still have the same error
message.

Which method of accessing the shared folder are you using?

By clicking on "Open a Shared Calendar..." on the task pane on the left side
of the outlook screen. Also, I have tried open shared folder in the file drop
down menu. Both yielded the same result.
