I have COX as my cable service provider and use a Belkin wireless
router F5D6231-4 and Vtech Vonage phone. When I first insttalled
Vonage, I used the linksys base unit. However since I could not find a
cordless phone with acceptable reception to work with the linksys unit,
I got the Vtech Vonage phone. The phone is working fine, but my
wireless connection dropped. I even got a new Cisco-Linksys router to
eliminate the possibility of the router went bad. It did not work. So I
am back to Belkin router now. I am getting excellent signal and
acquiring valid IP address. But when I check the wireless network
status, it shows 0 received packets.
Somebody mentioned the possibility of Vonage system interfering with
the router, so currently there is about 5 feet distance between the
Vonage base unit and the wireless router.
Does anyone have any suggestions what to check? Any suggestions are
appreciated. I have been spending weeks on this issue and really
frustrated. thanks.
