Trouble sending large messages....

Hard to say without any configuration information.
My guess; your virus scanner is causing this. Disable its integration with
Outlook and try again.
 
Use MailBigFile.com for large files. The recipient receives message with
link to pick up the file. It's brilliant!
 
As long as you realize that your files are now on a 3rd party server with
terms that may not comply with the ones of your company. Externally hosting
your files could be considered a security risk.
