Hi,
I am using Windows Vista Ultimate and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U;
Windows
NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.13) Gecko/20080311 Firefox/2.0.0.13.
The OS, Firefox and Norton Antivirus/Firewall, etc are current.
Firefox add-ons include:
Addblock Plus 0.7.5.3
Greasemonkey 0.7.2008.0121.0
Image Zoom 0.3.1
MM3 ProxySwitch 2007.340
Stealther 1.0.1
Talkback 2.0.0.11
Each time I restart Firefox, he forgets his homepage and always
starts
at http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:....
He also forgets the last proxy settings whether on or off (I
frequently switch between a VPN requiring proxies and a non-VPN
connection with no proxies).
Firefox's inability to remember these settings is a minor
inconvenience to be sure, but it is also really annoying.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've knocked myself out looking for
some hidden setting in Firefox. I have also done a complete uninstall
and install of Firefox to no avail. I have disabled all add-ons and
attempted it that way too. I have checked and rechecked my file
permissions.
Help?

p.s. In case you care, I also use IE7. I use both browsers for
testing.
