Trouble installing XP on new harddrive & motherboard Help

I am trying to install win xp on my desktop after having
to replace the motherboard and harddrive. Now it locks up
while installing devices and at 34 minutes left. HELP
What do I need to do to correct this?
 
I had the same problem happen to me doing a clean instal in a Dell PC.
reboot 2-3 times and nothing. I finaly decided to reformat again and star
over and it work. Sorry that i can't be more specific.

Back up all your data and do a reformat and clean
installation.

Hardly any of the programs that you installed under XP
before the MB and HD change are going to work right anyhow.

Try a repair install.

One thing to do is to disconnect your external devices. Add the devices
and drivers later.
