Trouble installing SP1

David and Cecilia Love Family

I am trying to install SP1 to my computer from the Windows Update site and
also need to apply other updates. Every time I try to install SP1 I get the
following error message in the svcpack.log:


INF_REGISTRY Failed
***

Access is denied.


Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

In your BIOS, do you have Bootsector virus protection enabled ?
If so, disable it until SP1 is installed.
