trouble installing 7th guest in windows XP

Hello, I just recently got this game, and am trying to install it
under Windows XP. I realize this is an old game and chances are I
probably am going to continue having problems installing it. I know
that the 2nd disc has to be in to install it, but then it goes to a
dos screen, and says that drive E is not responding!. Well my Hard
Drive letter is C , and it wont let me type in my drive letter and
then the install crashes, and I have to reboot the system. Any help at
all be be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris,

If you have more then one CD drive, try the other one.
The error "E:\ Not Responding" most likely refers to the CD drive you're installing from rather than the hard drive you're
installing to.

Thanks Jimmy, I will try that, also here's the thing I think this is a
problem in the install.bat program. It is not letting me type in a
different drive number, instead it gives the option to abort,retry or
fail. Then the setup program crashes back to the desktop, in which
case it doesnt go to the desktop instead the system freezes up, and I
have to reboot.
