trouble in the camp!!

Hi,

I have a serious problem.... can anyone help.

On starting up XP home I get a blue screen with:-
Stop: C0000135 (unable to locate component)
Winsrv not found.

It then suggests re-installing application may solve the
problem.

Any suggestions as to how I can recover the system without
losing any data?

Any fairly urgent help would be most appreciated.

Hi

Thank you for your response but I cannot get as far as
getting to desktop. The error message appears as the
machine reboots immediately after the "DELL" screen and
prior to desktop.

Any other suggestions?
